Patriots reportedly signing former Titans LB Jack Gibbens

The New England Patriots are reportedly signing former Tennessee Titans linebacker Jack Gibbens to a one-year deal, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

Gibbens was in town for a visit on Wednesday, and the team wasted no time putting ink to paper.

This move reunites former Titans teammates with Gibbens joining Harold Landry III as part of the newly-revamped linebackers unit in New England. He’ll also rejoin coach Mike Vrabel, who was with the Titans when he signed as an undrafted free agent back in 2022.

The Patriots have made a splash of moves to bolster the linebackers unit, including signing Landry, Gibbens, Robert Spillane and K’Lavon Chaisson.

Gibbens started in 13 games for the Titans in 2023 and racked up 95 tackles, three pass deflections and one sack. His role diminished in 2024, but he still proved to be productive when on the field with 44 tackles and half a sack.

Vrabel has gotten the most out of Gibbens’ game at the NFL level, and we’ll see if that continues in New England.
