Top QB prospect in the NFL draft calls playing for the Saints ‘a dream of mine’

The dominos are lining up for Cam Ward to be the first overall selection in the NFL draft, whether that’s via the Tennessee Titans or another team that trades up. It’s very unlikely that team will be the New Orleans Saints.

While the chances of Ward landing on the Saints are slim to none, that didn’t stop the quarterback from saying “it would be a dream of mine to play for (the Saints) if I get a chance some day.”

Ward has some childhood nostalgia from watching Drew Brees and Marques Colston as a youth. Kellen Moore also received positive words from the incoming rookie, so it isn’t all based on the past. Moore’s championship with the Eagles impressed Ward. The ability to play with a Super Bowl winning coach understandably intrigues a young quarterback. He praised Moore saying, “he knows how to dial up the playbook.”

Ward to the Saints is a pipe dream, but him calling it a dream of his allowed us to dream with him.
