Dianna Russini says the Broncos are not in on Cooper Kupp

Bad news for Denver Broncos fans hoping to land Cooper Kupp.

During a segment on the “Scoop City” podcast released Thursday, Dianna Russini of The Athletic mentioned the Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings as teams having at least some level of interest in Kupp.

Additionally, Russini reported that the Broncos, Houston Texans and New England Patriots are not in on Kupp.

This contradicts a report from Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports that said Denver was “firmly in the mix.” Somebody’s reporting is inaccurate.

Meanwhile, KOA Radio’s Benjamin Allbright has maintained that the Broncos are not — and never were — pursuing Kupp.

“I’ve been telling you from the get-go the Broncos were not interested,” Allbright tweeted on Thursday. “They’re still not interested. They have not offered him [a contract].”

Assuming those reports from Russini and Allbright are accurate, it looks Kupp Watch has ended for Denver fans. We’ll still continue to track the wide receiver’s status — just in case.
